Devlog Update – Hearthwood Tavern

Hey everyone! Here's a new update for Hearthwood Tavern! There are some exciting additions, improvements, and future plans I’d love to share with you.

🆕 What's New?

• New Character Added! 🎉
• New Scenes for characters who didn't get any in the last update.
• New Random Scene System: Now, while working at the tavern, you might see a random scene—if you’ve already unlocked its conditions. This is meant to encourage spending time at the tavern while also introducing new moments!
• New UI for the Main Menus! (I still plan to improve the in-game UI as well. This is a work in progress since I’m still learning how to bring my ideas into Ren'Py.)
• Added a Disclaimer at the beginning of the game (just a small detail, but it might be important to have).

🔧 Fixes & Improvements

• Adjustments to some sprites and CGs that looked a bit off (I’ll keep refining these over time).
• Tweaked some dialogue to make scenes more consistent.
• Code improvements (probably not noticeable on the player’s side, but it helps a lot).
• Spanish language added! 🌎 (I’m working on refining the translations, so I apologize for any inconsistencies.)
• Rearranged Nina's scenes into an order that makes more sense.

🚀 Future Plans

• I have three more characters in mind that I want to add, but I’m still figuring out how they fit into the story.
• I came up with a really cool idea involving Melodie, and I hope to introduce it in the next update! (No details yet—I want to keep it a surprise, haha.)
• I want to add a more complex relationship system instead of just unlocking scenes without much player interaction. However, I know some people prefer a more linear reading experience, so I’m still thinking about the best approach.
• I don’t like the main map at all right now. I’m considering reworking it completely or changing how navigation works—I’m still deciding.

• I'll try to post sneak peeks and updates on Patreon, so I’d really appreciate anyone who wants to follow the progress there!
• I’m also considering polls to decide which characters to focus on for each update.
• I’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions! Feel free to share them with me. 😊
• I wanted to release this update a few days earlier, but it took more work than expected—sorry for the delay! T-T
